also Shannon is an art collective between designer Shannon Yeung and essayist Shannon Sweeney, with works combining a shared love of lyrical writing, paper engineering, and multimedia illustration. We debuted at the Boston Art Book Fair 2023, exhibiting narrative paper mobiles, zines, pop-up collectibles, and more. Some of our artists’ books were acquired by the MassArt Library and Tufts’ W. Van Alan Clark, Jr. Library, and auctioned at the National Braille Press fundraising gala for braille literacy.
The Flowers We Don’t See
A series of paper art objects celebrating unfamiliar flowers of familiar origins. Each card is cut and folded into the shape of a flower, which unfolds into a blossoming discovery of its respective fruit or vegetable.
